Koalas

All of these wild Koalas are living in suburban bushland in the Strathpine and Moreton Bay area of Brisbane. The younger ones seen here are in care with the Pine Rivers Koala Care Association. These dedicated volunteers work 24/7 to rescue and nurse local koalas for release back into the wild. Unfortunately, dwindling habitiat, cars, dogs and disease are all contributing to fast reduction in their numbers.
